Coleus Couture: The 2016 Summer look book

Coleus is a foliage annual that has become a popular choice for gardeners over the last two years. More and more customers have come to realize that these magical little plants pack a punch of color and offer an amazing variety of shapes and textures. From soft and elegant to bright and bold, there is hardly a color combination you cannot achieve with Coleus. This is a great bedding annual that brings bright color to the landscape at a low cost. If you enjoy finding a plant with a good bang for your buck, coleus is a great option.  What really sets coleus apart is the texture of their leaves. Frilly, pointy, and rounded leaves add an amazing texture to any combination planter.

They are also very easy to grow. Although typically grown in the shade many varieties do quite well in the sun. The make an excellent filler or thriller in containers and fill in so nicely as a bedding plant. Since there are no blooms there is coleusplanter.jpgno need for dead heading and coleus will thrive all summer long until the first frost.
